If you do not live in one of these states (CT, DC, DE, FL, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VA, VT), can you still sign up for the Beyond Checking account online and receive the $300 bonus? I live in Oregon (OR).

Does an income tax return from the IRS qualify as a direct deposit (as long as it is $500) for the offer?

I’ve been told yes, and I’ve been told no, each time I’ve called into TD Bank’s customer service.

According to their site:
“Offer is available to new personal checking Customers who do not have an existing or prior personal checking account at TD Bank…”
That means once per lifetime right? I think I may have had a checking account before…

Your information under the $300 Premier Checking and $150 Convenience Checking offers includes the following:

“Direct Deposit Requirement: None”

The $300 Premier Checking promotion requires $2500 in qualifying direct deposits within 60 days of account opening and the $150 Convenience Checking promotion requires $500 in qualifying direct deposits within 60 days of account opening.

After filling out all the information, I was told they couldn’t verify my identity online. There is no way to save the account application or get assistance verifying your identity online or by phone. When I called TD Bank, a representative told me they have no current promotional offers except a direct mailing offer.
