Magic Money agreed to a $335,000 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it failed to refund consumers who purchased currency to use at the Astroworld Festival in Houston Texas in November 2021.
According to plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, the company should have provided refunds to consumers who purchased Magic Money as soon as the second day of the Astroworld Festival scheduled for November 2021 was canceled. The second day of the festival was canceled after a mass casualty event the night before in which 10 people died and hundreds were injured in a crowd crush.
