Knix, maker of period panties and other garments, agreed to a $1.4 million marketing class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that its period underwear contains dangerous per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which have been linked to serious health concerns.
According to the class action lawsuit, Knix period underwear products contain dangerous PFAS chemicals despite the manufacturer’s marketing that the panties are free of toxic chemicals. PFAS chemicals have been linked to serious health problems such as birth complications, cancers and more.
Knix is a brand of period panties.
Knix hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $1.4 million settlement to resolve the PFAS class action lawsuit.
