How to Earn Bonus
- Open a new OneWest Bank Checking Account at any branch of OneWest Bank between May 5, 2021 and August 31, 2021 and satisfy the following requirements:
- Open one of the following checking accounts:
- Personal Checking Account with a minimum deposit of $500 in new money and maintain an average balance of at least $500 during the first 90 days following account funding; or
Premium Checking Account with a minimum deposit of $2,000 in new money and maintain an average balance of at least $2,000 during the first 90 days following account funding; or
OneAccount Checking Account with a minimum deposit of $10,000 in new money and maintain an average balance of at least $10,000, during the first 90 days following account funding.

The PDF printout and bank’s website only mentions the promotion available for the Premium Checking, or OneAccount. There’s no mention of the Personal Checking option. So basically, to qualify for the Premium Checking (easier option) you need to leave $1,000 in the account for 180 days (to avoid early termination forfeit), do 2 or more $650 direct deposits in consecutive months within 90 days, activate a debit card within 60 days, sign up for e-statements within 30 days, and the bonus comes in a $200 VISA gift card.
