It does not state anywhere that a direct deposit is necessary to receive this promotion.
OCEANFIRST is far more headache than its worth. It was a battle to get the sign up bonus. It was a further battle to actually close the account. Even 15 days after the account was closed a service fee posted and caused daily overdraft fees.
Just tried opening an account and is only letting me deposit $100 with my credit card. I though it was $2,500?

I checked with them and they said only transaction comes as “CREDIT” qualifies for promotion. Also they said buying Amazon GC does not qualify…
They put out a newsletter for the new promotion. Give them a call to confirm.
HOW DO YOU KNOW ONLY 30 – this says 25 within 45 days & then another 25 between 45-75?
Also, is there a minimum per transaction – 30 ezpass $1 a piece is easy to do 🙂
