I do not think that is true because I live in California and I applied. I never received a bonus. You probably received some other bonus.
Even though the fine print says it is not nationwide, I got the bonus. I live in Illinois. Even the customer service told me that the bonus is local only. But that is not true.
To receive the $150 bonus you must reside in Collin County,Texas. Not nationwide(in the fine print).
Why is this listed as “nationwide” if it’s only available for one county in Texas? It’s listed that way on the best bonuses page too.
There is A service FEE for eChecking!

Easy application. Apparently anyone can qualify. They sign you up with Surfrider if your employer isn’t on their list. You can CC fund (V/MC/D), but it’s limited to $25.00. No HP as of yet.
