- Open a Checking Account
- Easily open a new Value Checking account online or at a branch by April 30, 2022 with as little as $50 within the first 30 days.
- Set Up Direct Deposit
- Maintain a minimum balance of $10,000 or $25,000 for 60 days after opening your account.
- Receive Your Bonus!
- After 90 days, Amerant will automatically deposit your cash bonus into your account. It’s that simple.
- Offer not available to existing Amerant Bank customers, prior customers who have had an Amerant Bank personal checking relationship within the preceding 90 days, or have been paid a promotional premium in the past 24 months. Limited to one checking account per new customer. If multiple accounts are opened with the same signers, only one account will be eligible for the bonus. Applicant must be a citizen or resident alien of the United States (U.S.) who is at least 18 years old with a valid U.S. taxpayer identification number. To qualify for the bonus: (i) open your new Value Checking Account online at amerantbank.com OR at an Amerant Bank branch location from 01/10/2022 through 04/30/2022; (ii) have your Qualifying Direct Deposit(s) made to the account within 30 days of account opening; and (iii) maintain an average balance in the account of $10,000 (for $250 Cash Bonus) or $25,000 or more (for $500 Cash Bonus) for 60 days after the 31st day the account was opened. We will deposit the bonus in your new account within 60 days after you have completed the above conditions. To receive the bonus, your Value Checking Account must be open and in good standing at the time of payout. The bonus will appear as “Cash Bonus” on your monthly statement and will be reported on the applicable IRS form as interest income. - Invite Friends and Family
- Provide contact information AND a valid email address for the friends and family members you are referring OR share this offer via social media. Your friends will receive an email notification containing registration instructions and offer requirements.
- Get Rewarded
- Once your friends register for the referral offer using your personal referral link and complete one or more of the offers listed below, you will each receive a Visa® Reward Card. The more friends you refer, the more you can earn – up to $1,500 per calendar year
- To make a referral, the Referrer must register for the program, agree to these Terms and Conditions, and submit a valid email address for both the Referrer and each Referred Person. A Referrer may receive up to thirty (30) Reward Cards ($1500 value) within a calendar year. Only one Referrer may receive a Reward Card for each Referred Person who fulfills the requirements (the first Referrer that enters information for a Referred Person will be the eligible Referrer). The Referred Person may only receive one Reward Card per referral offer for opening an account and completing the requirements but may also be eligible as a Referrer. As the Referrer, by using ReferLive, the person you are referring may infer that you are a customer of Amerant Bank.
- Please allow 4-6 weeks after completion of all requirements for delivery of your Visa Reward Card to the physical address provided. This offer may be reported as income to the IRS. The program may be discontinued or changed at any time without notice. Amerant Bank banking center employees are not eligible for this program or offer.
- The Referrer authorizes the sending of communications to each Referred Person. The email may not be recovered if the person has “opted out” of marketing material from Amerant Bank or ReferLive. Each person who registers at ReferLive authorizes future communications including emails regarding the program unless they “opt out” by making an election at ReferLive or within such email. The Referred Person acknowledges that a Reward Card will be issued to the Referrer after all conditions have been met in the time frames provided. - Savings: $5 monthly fee, waivable if you maintain $1 in a Checking, Interest Checking, or Money Market Account on the last business day of the statement cycle
- Money Market: $25 monthly fee, waived when maintaining a $25,000 combined monthly average balance in other deposit or loan accounts (excludes credit card balances)
- Relationship Money Market: $150 monthly fee, waived by having a Relationship Interest Checking Account with a positive balance of at least $1
- Business Checking: $10 monthly fee, waived if you Enroll In Online Statements
