Easy Membership: If you don’t meet one of the above criteria, you can join the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society (PRPS) through PSECU to become eligible for PSECU membership. PRPS Friend membership is a one-time fee of $10, but PSECU will cover $10 when you open your account online. They will also take care of your PRPS membership registration as part of your PSECU membership application. You do not need to renew your PRPS membership to maintain your PSECU membership.

- Earn $200 (must be completed within the first 60 days of establishing membership)
- Become a PSECU member using promo code: RIGHTNOTE and add a free checking account.
- Sign up and log into digital banking (online or mobile).
- Establish Qualifying Payroll Direct Deposit(s) that total at least $500 per calendar month.
- Earn $100 (must be completed within 120 days after Stage 1 requirements have been met)
- Continue recurring Qualifying Payroll Direct Deposits totaling at least $500 per calendar month for 3 consecutive months after Stage 1 requirements are met, with a total additional amount deposited of at least $1,500 during Stage 2.

Sorry I don’t think I used a promo code when I signed up for the offer, so PSECU must have changed it recently. My guess is they are now limited the offer to people they target (IOW you may have to receive the code in a mailer or advertisement).

I joined PSECU recently. I was able to fund with a credit card (I don’t recall what the maximum allowed was as I only wanted to deposit $10.).
Since I do not work for any of the applicable agencies, I had to buy the membership to PA Park & Recreation Society to join. However, the nice thing is PSECU puts $10 towards the membership so I only had to use $10 for this.
Also, like most credit unions, PA has the $5 min. balance in the savings account (which can never be withdrawn as long as you are a member). But PSECU deducted $5 from the $150 promotion so I did not have to deposit it out of pocket. All in all I will come out of this with a net bonus of $135 which is still a very good deal, so definitely worth doing for any resident of PA.
