What the Rewards are Worth?
Even though it’s a cashback card, Ink Business Cash® Credit Card rewards are tracked as Chase Ultimate Rewards points. You can redeem them for:
- Cash: As statement credit to apply toward your balance, or directly deposited to most United States checking and savings accounts.
- Travel: For premium vacation packages, cruises or fly any class on most major airlines. There are no restrictions or blackout dates on airfare booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
- Gift cards: Over 70 gift card options available including Home Depot, iTunes, Amazon and Staples.
- Amazon items: Instantly redeem your points to pay for all or part of your eligible Amazon order, including tax and shipping.
Each Chase Ultimate Rewards point is worth $0.01, except for Amazon items which has a lesser value.
Combining your UR points from this card with other eligible Chase cards will get you more value.
Maximizing Your Rewards
If you want to get the most out of your points, move them to other credit accounts that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards.
Cards like Chase Sapphire Preferred card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card.
This will help boost your points value when you book for travel through Chase:
- Sapphire Preferred + Ink Business Unlimited = $0.0125/point
- Sapphire Reserve + Ink Business Unlimited = $0.015/point
Additionally, you’ll also be able to transfer to other loyalty programs at a 1:1 ratio if you have either of the cards above.
So the 10,000 UR points = 10,000 points/miles with the transfer partner. You can get up to an average of 2¢ per point value by doing this.

I have 3 questions :
1. Can I use this card to regularly buy Visa/Master Gift cards for 5% cashback from Staples/Office Depot?
2. I don’t own any business, how could I get this card still ?
3. Is this the best card in the market to get the most of 5% cash back from the Office supply stores on Visa/Master Card ?
Yes, I have done this before. Call them up and tell them you want to downgrade to the no annual fee version.
Can we downgrade from a Ink Plus or Bold card to this no-fee version if we don’t wanna get hit with the annual fee?
Treat like any credit cards you have in your wallet. It’s no difference.
If I sign up for this card by calling myself a sole proprietor, do I have to list this on my yearly taxes? If so, do I have to keep receipts for every purchase? I really like the idea of putting my cell phone, cable and gas on this card, but I don’t want to have it bite me in the butt.
