there won’t be any interest rate increases this year. might get 1 or 2 in 2020 if growth continues and inflation starts up.
president trump stated he does not want any more increases until growth exceeds our economy.
and i think he is right .
CJ, I’d put the money in a 1 year CD and wait for the FED to raise interest rates 2 times this year. The Federal reserve is on track to raise the interest rates 2 times this year. I noticed when the Fed said it was scaling back interest rate hikes the banks and credit unions started lowering their rates. Last year they kept going up trying to beat other banks and credit unions. I retired in Jan 2018. A month later I got a 64 month CD from Sharon view credit union that paid 4 percent. Every once in a while you’ll see 4 percent but you have to act very fast. The Bank of Utica offers 4 percent but you have to live near Utica. Concentrate on credit unions.
Looking for a 4% 5 year jumbo CD. I live in Florida. Please let me know if you have any advice on where to find them. Thanks.
Why is very old information still being posted as recently as on your current November 2018 CD best rate page? Confusing! Get the old expired deals deleted, please!
Danny
